EMS Agency Committees

Calendar listing of committee meetings

Continuous Quality Improvement (CQI)

The mission of the Marin county EMS CQI Program is to provide system wide analysis and quality improvement for EMS services.  It is the vision of this program to support the development of an innovative, evidence based CQI program to optimize emergency/trauma care.  This will be facilitated by a cohesive learning team with representation from providers on the continuum of care.

Field Advisory Committee (FAC)

The Field Advisory Committee (FAC), a sub-committee of the CQI Program, discusses EMS issues that effect field operations, providing system input and collaboration (with the Agency, other committees & system providers) in resolving system challenges.

STEMI Advisory Committee (SAC)

The ST Elevation Myocardial Infarction (STEMI) Advisory Committee is a specialized program whose responsibility is to review prehospital and hospital care heart attack patients.  This group works under the overall guidance of the CQI Committee and  is comprised of representatives from our county's two STEMI Receiving Centers , as well as prehospital and STEMI Referral Center representatives.

Trauma Advisory Committee (TAC)

The Trauma Advisory Committee is a specialized program whose responsibility is to review the prehospital and hospital care of trauma patients.  This group works under the overall guidance of the CQI Committee and is comprised of representatives from our county's two trauma designated facilities, as well as prehospital providers and non-trauma center representatives.

Data Taskforce

The purpose of this taskforce is to implement an improved data collection system. It usually meets on the fourth Thursdays of the month and is open to all EMS system participants.

Policy & Procedure (P&P)

The Policy and Procedure Committee, a sub-committee of the CQI program, participates in the review, development and monitoring of system policies and procedures.  Committee members, in collaboration with the Agency, coordinate the training of all newly developed or edited policies through a “Train the Trainer” program prior to policy implementation.
